Hello! Nice to meet you. I’m Tom Francome.

I’m a digital video Producer and Director, as well as a documentary cameraman. I have credits shooting on feature documentaries for Nat Geo, Disney+, BBC and ITV and I have produced digital content for dozens of household name brands.

My career started by picking up a camera and shooting videos for environmental charities such as Renewable World and Roots For The Future, as well as live music sessions for musicians in my network.

I went on to work freelance as a cameraman and camera assistant and worked on advertising campaigns for the likes of Deliveroo, Google and Microsoft, and worked for our friends over at Reel Nice. However, when the pandemic struck, being left without freelance work, I focused on shifting the way I approached my career to find more purpose and leave a positive impact on the world around me. I wanted to find a solution to be able to make films about the things I love by taking things back to where I started.

I worked closely with Octopus Energy, with our films getting lots of reach helping them find investment and customers in order to grow to the behemoth energy supplier they are today, and with them, screened 3 films at COP26. I also worked on a campaign with Shure which gave exposure to musicians when the music industry was struggling to get back on its feet, giving underexposed and underrepresented artists a platform to stand on.

Building off the back of these projects I started Planet House Productions with the goal to removing many times more than my lifetime’s carbon emissions, planting as many trees as possible, supporting grass roots environmental projects, and telling the stories of musicians through documentary.

Alongside myself, I work with a pool of talented and friendly freelance crew, which means we have the ability to scale projects up and down depending on your needs, and find a budget that works for any production.

Anyway, enough about us. We want to hear about what you are up to!
